After a lot of research, I chose an Oceanflo 70M for a watermaker on my charter yacht in the Mediterranean in order not to be dependent on marinas, I wanted something compact, quiet and easy to operate. The installation was really simple, all the required parts were included apart from the connection into the boats freshwater system, which I bought at the local hardware store. I measured the output in a bay on the Spanish Mediterranean coast in May and the unit produced just on 90 liters in its first hour of operation. The Oceanflo is fitted under the saloon settee and is so quiet that I can operate it without the clients noticing even when they’re sitting on top of it. Apart from being a beautifully simple unit to operate it was by far the most cost and energy effective solution on the market.

As a designer, I have specified Oceanflo water maker AC units on several of our larger Elites and have had trouble free reliability and performance. Therefore, it was an easy decision to install one of Chris’s DC water makers in our own Elite, “Emperor” and have been very happy with its performance. Installation was easy and technical backup from both Chris was very forthcoming. The unit is very compact, quiet and straightforward to operate. It has no trouble keeping up with our daily requirements. All components are marine grade and engineered to last.

We thought we would right a quick email in praise of both you and the Oceanflo 70 Watermaker you installed for us in October. Mid-January now and it has worked flawlessly! We run it on average less than a hour a day to make 50-60 l of water to keep up with our usage. The is very quiet and draws around 15 amps. It takes only a few seconds for the product to reach around 100 TDS on our handheld meter. We can’t praise it enough, plus your installation was very professional and quick.
